The confusion is Armor All uses water-based silicone emulsions but does not use petroleum distillates. Itx26#39;s safe. Silicones and petroleum distillates can create a shiny surface but over time it is believed that they will dry out plastic and rubber which can cause it to crack prematurely.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great .. but doesnx26#39;t last much! The Product works great! The only down side is that technically (according to the label ) you need to apply it every 3 weeks for the best protection. But I really think it makes a difference it not only protect but make everything look like new.
