How do you make your own bleach shirt?
Pour about a quarter cup of pure bleach into a spray bottle. You don’t need to dilute the bleach for this project. Spray a very light coat of bleach onto your shirt all around the stencil using a very fine mist setting on the nozzle; one or two trigger pulls will do it.
Do you have to have sun to bleach a shirt?
To safely bleach an item made of cotton, fill a bucket with cold water, then stir in 1/4 cup of bleach for every 1 gallon of water. Soak the cotton item in the bleach solution for 5 minutes if you’re trying to remove stains, and for about 10 minutes if you’re trying to lighten the color of the fabric.
